This small salami is popularly known as Cacciatorino and is traditionally carried by hunters as a snack to be eaten during their outings. It received P.D.O. certification in 2001. A dry, hard salami with a bright red colour and evenly-distributed fat, it has a sweet flavour and a delicate fragrance. Its size makes it especially suitable for starters and snacks. It goes particularly well with young, vivacious red wines.
